15th annual Butterfly, Herb & Native Plant Fair on June 8 & 9
General Event Information
The USF Botanical Gardens will hold the 15th annual Butterfly, Herb & Native Plant Fair on June 8 from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. and June 9 from 10:00 to 3:00. Admission is $5 for general public; all proceeds support the USF Botanical Gardens. USF Botanical Garden members and children under 12 are admitted free. Free parking.
Vendors will be selling butterfly plants, herbs and native plants. The Native Plant Society will be available to answer questions.
There will be talks on Saturday. At noon, George Kish, native plant expert, will present an entertaining workshop about Native plants that Attract Butterflies. Cathie Schram and Barbara Cloud-Weisman, Butterfly Garden curators, will be doing a talk & tour of the Butterfly Garden at 1:00 on Saturday. Also at 1:00 there will be a workshop on Growing herbs.
Free Children’s Activity Area with many fun things to create. Snake Pit with animals and educational information. Tampa Bay Bat Conservation will be on hand. For more information (813) 974-2329 or web address: http://gardens.usf.edu
