The death of Dana Reeve at age 44 from lung cancer raised the public awareness of the disease.  According to the National Institutes of Health, lung cancer kills more women every year than breast cancer.

Researchers, including those at the Moffitt Cancer Center, are studying the causes of lung cancer and searching for ways to prevent it.
