music. You can count on wonderful music, interesting
information about the music, musicians and composers,
as well as being kept up-to-date on what's happening
in the music and cultural community throughout the
west coast of Florida!
Coleen Cook is a native of Butler, Pennsylvania, where
her music education began at age 12 as a trained singer.
She began her college career as a music major but later
moved into communications. She began working as a radio
announcer and newscaster, before later becoming a TV
news anchor/reporter. Her broadcasting career took her
to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Cleveland, Ohio and Phoenix,
Arizona. full bio
After ten years in broadcasting,
she took some time off to be with her children and
wrote and published a book, before returning to college
at the University of New Orleans to finish her Bachelor’s
degree in Journalism, Communications and Religion.
After relocating to Omaha,
Nebraska, Coleen began working at KVNO, Omaha’s classical music station, as a
classical music host for several years. She also worked
in development and public relations with Opera Omaha,
before moving to KFAB, Omaha’s News/Talk station,
and KAT 103 FM as a morning news co-anchor and reporter.
Coleen recently moved
to Florida from Omaha. |
