This week Florida Matters delves into fertilizer policy. Sarasota County recently passed an ordinance regulating how much and when lawn fertilizer can be applied to help stem runoff pollution. Supporters are hoping to take it statewide. But, it’s grown into a power struggle over who controls what you can put on your lawn - state or local officials.
