The death in early 2006 of 14-year old Martin Lee Anderson at a youth boot camp in Bay County raised questions about effectiveness of military-style youth boot camps.
After the arrests of 8 people for aggravated manslaughter in the death of Martin Lee Anderson this week, we look back at the now defunct boot camp system in Florida. We’ll have a roundup of developments in the case, as well as a discussion of the history of boot camps.
