The 2nd annual Suntrust Miles for Moffitt has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 16th. The event was postponed due to the smoke from the recent wildfires. All funds raised at the event, which features a one mile run/walk, and 5K and 5 mile competitive races, will go to benefit research at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center on the Tampa campus of USF.

Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute has received a five-year, seven-point-three million dollar contract from the National Cancer Institute to lead a multi-institutional study that uses gene chip technology—a chip smaller than a credit card that looks at hundreds of thousands of genes for a single mutation.
