The WUSF Radio Reading Service Spotlight Shines on Dr. Bill Maillet
Grahic of microphone and people with books and newspapers

Dr. Bill Maillet volunteers for the Radio Reading Service heard on the sub-carrier channel of WUSF 89.7 and on the Secondary Audio Program Channel of WUSF TV.  Dr. Maillet is one of the many volunteers who help the WUSF Radio Reading Service "Turn Sight into Sound" for our listeners.

One volunteer's commitment to USF includes reading for listeners of the WUSF Radio Reading Service.

Dr. William Maillet is a volunteer with the WUSF Radio Reading Service
After a career as a teacher, Dr. Bill Maillet now keeps busy with volunteer activities.  Besides reading for the WUSF Radio Reading Service, Dr. Maillet is on the phone during WUSF's membership campaigns.

And while the joy of doing good things for the community can be its own reward, Dr. Maillet says that reading for listeners of the WUSF Radio Reading Service is special.

"I like the idea of being more involved and participating in something that benefits other people," he said.
