The WUSF Grant Specialist is responsible for the development of grants and contract proposals to secure funding from federal agencies, corporations and private foundations. The Grant Specialist will develop proposals for WUSF programming, general operating support, capital and for any other funding needs. The Grant Specialist also identifies new sources of funding, maintains stewardship reporting and sustains relationships with funding organizations. This position is part of the WUSF Development Team and requires working strategically and collaboratively with all departments of the organization, including Marketing, Production, Programming and Leadership Management. This position will also be responsible for project management activities.

Minimum qualifications: 
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, the arts or related field and one year experience in research or research administration, or combination of equivalent coursework and experience. 5 years of directly relevant and related experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement. Minimum of one year experience in a position requiring skills in finance, administration, grants and contract administration or management. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong written and oral communications skills.
Preferred qualifications: 
Knowledge of public broadcasting or non-profit organizations, experience in project management.
