AN EVENING WITH THE MASTERS: Music Which Changed the World
General Event Information
The Plant City Community Choir (PCCC) is presenting its autumn concert, “An Evening with the Masters” on Saturday, October 27, at First Presbyterian Church, at 7:30 p.m.
Under the direction of Joseph Mendolia, the 32-voice choir is performing the first program of its fourth concert season in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, located at 404 Reynolds Street, Plant City.
The music selected for this program are compositions written in different eras when significant changes were happening in the world: revolutions in ideas, revolutions in instruments, revolutions in political and religious spheres—all which came together as a revolution in the music of their ages.
This music also revolutionized our modern music—without these composers, musicians such as the Beatles, Madonna, or even Lady Gaga would not be performing the kinds of music they each have made famous.
The concert will feature The Plant City Youth Chorus, guest soloists from the USF School of Music, a string quartet, as well as piano accompaniment.
The Plant City Community Choir is a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit organization which provides educational, cultural, musical, and social experiences to enrich its members and audiences who live in the communities surrounding Plant City. PCCC strives to promote and demonstrate diversity in the arts in all it does, and seeks to provide opportunities for its members to learn and improve in the craft of choral performance
