ASPEC Public Forum: Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Patrick Hughes
The Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College, sponsors of the ASPEC Public Forum Series, invites you to attend their next Forum, “The Future of Global Security: An Insider's View,” presented by Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Patrick Hughes, Former Director of Intelligence at United States Central Command, Commanding General, United States Army Intelligence Agency and Assistant Secretary for Information Analysis (Intelligence), U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The Forum will be held at Lewis House on the Eckerd College Campus, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 4:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
Through his private consulting firm, PMH Enterprises LLC, Patrick Hughes consults in the focus areas of intelligence, national security, and international relations, as well as the functional areas of leadership, business management and organizational effectiveness. From 2005 to 2011, Lieutenant General Hughes was employed as the L-3 Corporate Vice President for Intelligence and Counterterrorism. He also performed as the corporate point of contact for Homeland Security / Homeland Defense and Cyber Operations. Prior to arriving at L-3 he served in the government as Assistant Secretary for Information Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He retired from the U.S. Army in 1999 after more than 35 years of military service, beginning as an enlisted soldier and combat medic in 1962. He is a highly-decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and other conflicts, he has visited 127 countries and was trained in the Vietnamese and Korean languages.
