Bay Street Brassworks in Concert

Bay Street Brassworks is an internationally acclaimed touring ensemble and one of America’s finest and busiest brass ensembles. This award-winning brass quintet was founded in 1995 and performs a wide variety of musical genres ranging from Bach to Be-Bop. After several years on the East Coast, Bay Street Brassworks is
now based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Bay Street Brassworks has performed throughout the United States and traveled to Korea during a 1999 concert
Performances of note include world premiere performances and clinics alongside the American Brass Quintet, New York Brass Quintet, Harvey Phillips, Gunther Schuller and Eric Ewazen. Bay Street Brassworks is the premiere educational brass ensemble
of its kind. Currently, they are a performing artist group for a number of Young Audience state organizations including Young Audiences of Maryland, United Arts Council of Raleigh, North Carolina, The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, North Carolina, and the South Carolina Arts Commission.
Bay Street Brassworks has recorded three albums. The latest album, “Brass on Fire” was released in October 2011 and marks the group’s first studio recording. They have received numerous awards including the Grand Prize at the 2003 New York Brass Conference International Brass Quintet Competition.
Concert starts at 5:00 p.m. and is free… suggested donation is a can of soup for All Faiths Food Bank.
