Belle Canto In Concert

General Event Information

Belle Canto, which means beautiful singing, was founded by conductor and artistic
director, Elizabeth Goldstein, in September 2009 and is dedicated to the
performance of repertoire for women's voices. The ensemble includes many of
Sarasota's most talented women and its repertoire consists of not only classical,
traditional, secular and sacred choral works but also gospel and Broadway. Belle Canto's concerts have received rave reviews in the Herald Tribune and Observer
newspapers and appearances have included holiday concerts with the Artist Series
Concerts of Sarasota at the Historic Asolo in 2010 and The Glenridge in 2012. Other
appearances have included the prestigious Munchtime Musicales and Selby Library
Series at Holley Hall. Belle Canto has also been invited to participate in the church concert series of St. Boniface Episcopal, St. John's United Methodist, St. Armand Key Lutheran, First United Methodist and Faith Lutheran.
