Chopan & Nicorvo Poetry & Fiction Reading

2:45pm – 4:00pm

Jon Chopan, Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Eckerd College, is a fiction and non-fiction writer. He will read from his first collection, "Pulled from the River," which explores the distance between Rochester, New York’s greatness and failures, between place and identity, between who we are and who we hope to be. Jay Baron Nicorvo’s debut collection, "Deadbeat" revolves around a central character of the same name—an absent father and husband, and the family that goes on without him. An effigy for America and our culture of recession, Deadbeat is brought to life with honesty, sympathy and love in all of its complications. Part of the Eckerd College Celebration of the Arts.
