This year’s Grammy nominations are out, and we have some local musicians to be very proud of! The USF Professional Choral Institute, and the Miami based choral ensemble Seraphic Fire received a nomination for “Best Choral Performance” for their recording of the Brahms German Requiem. Dr. James Bass, the Director of Choral Studies at USF, is the chorus master of the ensembles and was featured on Classical WSMR 89.1 last August when we celebrated the local radio premiere of this wonderful CD which was recorded in the new concert hall at USF’s School of Music. Congratulations to all of our local musicians who participated!
