Singing And Sandwiches For A Tenor's Centennial - Richard Tucker

Last year was the first time Mayor Bloomberg set aside Aug. 28 to celebrate the late tenor, Richard Tucker, who blossomed from young synagogue singer to silver-voiced star of the Metropolitan Opera. Spanning three decades, Tucker would sing more than 30 leading roles for the company in more than 700 performances.
