Compassionate Immigration Reform: A Community Discussion of the New Senate Bill

As legislation on immigration reaches Congress, understanding of the rapidly changing situation is essential for efforts to reach legislators with our input. On Tuesday, April 30th at 7 PM at the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, 2470 Nursery Road, Nuyet Duong, Senior Advisor, White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders will join a panel to discuss the current situation. He will be joined by Rev. Russell, Meyer, Executive Director Florida Council of Churches, and Edwin Enciso, Organizer with CIR NOW. Moderator will be Rev. Abhi Janamanchi of UUClearwater.

The panel will provide an opportunity to enlarge our perspective on the situation and to formulate our responses to it. For more information contact UUC Economic Justice Team at 727-286-7260 or E-Mail ruraliteone@gmail.
