Marty Morell and Michiko Ohta are joined by pianist Per Danielson, bassist Richard Drexler, saxophonist Jeff Rupert and drummer Nathan Colbert in a concert of Latin jazz.

Marty Morell (drums, percussion, vibes, piano, producer) was a member of the BILL EVANS Trio for seven years - longer than any other drummer. He has worked with Al Cohn-Zoot Sims Quintet, Henry “Red” Allen, Gary McFarland, Steve Kuhn, Gabor Szabo, Don Sebesky, Stan Getz, Kenny Wheeler, Claus Ogerman, Rob McConnell & the Boss Brass.

Singer/percussionist Michiko Ohta was born in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Nicknamed Michiquita (little girl in Spanish), she began working professionally at 20 in recordings for television and in performances with various artists as a chorus singer and percussionist. She has recently released her first solo CD "Enamorada."
