Florida Matters goes beyond the daily headlines and explores issues that matter to you and your community. Florida Matters is a weekly 30-minute public affairs program that examines issues important to Floridians, including education, housing, transportation, growth-management and the environment.

The Republicans came to town in August, but Democrats won the day in November. Meanwhile, a group of intrepid environmentalists trekked the length of Florida. In this special Florida Matters, we bring you some of our best stories of 2012.
