Guitarist Pat Metheny’s “Orchestrion” is a recording, and a tour, like no other. Growing out of his boyhood fascination with his grandfather’s player piano, Metheny has fashioned a stage full of instruments on which he is the sole performer. As he looked forward to his Ruth Eckerd Hall appearance, Pat Metheny spoke with WUSF’s Bob Seymour about the concept, and the “Orchestrion” tour. Listen to this interview.
