For 20 years, the Jim Cullum Jazz Band and their guests have brought Classic Jazz and Swing to public radio listeners throughout the country. Each of these concerts from San Antonio’s Riverwalk spotlights a particular artist, style, or locale, with a mix of exciting performance and behind the scenes story-telling that makes the music come alive.

Part of Riverwalk's 20th Anniversary Broadcast Series, the program tells the story of Chicago's great 'musical migration.' King Oliver, the New Orleans Rhythm Kings, and a host of blues queens made the move from Texas and New Orleans to Chicago. Recorded at San Antonio's historic Pearl Stable, The Jim Cullum Jazz Band welcomes guests painist Shelly Berg, vocalist Topsy Chapman, and Broadway's Vernel Bagneris.
