Gov. Bush Backs Insurance Special Session

Democratic State Rep. Dan Gelber of Miami Beach says a special legislative session is the only way Florida can draft meaningful and timely property insurance reform.
Gov. Jeb Bush supports a special session but with one condition.
BUSH: If there's a consensus on how to go forward in a thoughtful way.
Gelber's proposal is to have the state cover the first $100,000 in hurricane claims. However, Bush says that's too costly.
BUSH: Kudos to Gelber for having an interesting idea seeking we're seeking good ideas ideas.
Bush and an appointed task force are soliciting ideas from homeowners, insurance agents and businesses. Their recommendations are due February 1st.
