Gov. Bush Warms To Insurance Special Session
Gov. Jeb Bush has rejected as too costly a Democratic idea that would make the state responsible for the first $100,000 in hurricane damage.
While visiting Tampa last week, Bush said he's open to insurance reform
BUSH: We're seeking good ideas. We have a task force in place that is working on ideas we want to get the best ideas from people who are concerned about this.
That task force which organized just last week will take public comment during its next meeting.
BUSH: That could be homeowners, businesses insurance agents, insurance companies everybody can participate in this process. so far they have, I'm getting a lot of advice.
The governor's insurance reform panel is set to meet August 24th in Orlando.
