Skateboarders Rallying to Save Bowl
![]() |
The Perry Harvey Sr. Park is a landmark to the people that frequent it. But the City of Tampa wants to redevelop the downtown park and wants input.
David Miller a professional firefighter and skateboarder is making sure his concerns about the park are heard.
MILLER: We're trying to just get as many people to come forward and let them help recognize that the skateboarding bowl down in the park is a historical land mark for us.
The developers already have three ideas for the park but only one includes keeping the skate bowl..
MILLER: They've had three public meetings - one more being this night at 5:30 at Perry Harvey Senior Park Auditorium, Central park.
The city's project manager also is taking comment via e-mail.
