New Year's Resolutions
With the new year comes dreams of transforming our lives. You may be telling yourself, this is the year you'll take better care of yourself. But that plan can start immediately. USF Campus Recreation Fitness Coordinator Anne Friesel comments.
FRIESEL: I wouldn't make this a time to lose weight, but if they can just maintain their weight over the holidays, they're doing excellent. So, a lot of people think, 'I'm gonna go on a crash diet.' or something like that and that's really not the best idea.
Friesel says minor changes will help. Such as walking around the neighborhood with your family after a big meal. And cutting back a little on what you take in. She says that doesn't mean 'no dessert,' but perhaps a smaller portion.
