Freshman Gus Bilirakis of Palm Harbor was sworn-in as the new U.S. Representative for Florida Congressional District 9.

While his face is new to Washington D.C., his name is quite familiar. His father, Michael Bilirakis, held the same office for 24 years before retiring in 2006.

WUSF's Bobbie O'Brien talked with Congressman Gus Bilirakis Wednesday afternoon just minutes after he arrived at his new office on the sixth floor of the Longworth House Office Building.
