Devastated Central Florida Communities Recover

LADY LAKE -

Over the weekend, the guard members helped clear roadways and survey damage from helicopters. Volunteers - many of them faith-based - helped in the cleanup.

One of the most devastated towns is Lady Lake, located 50 miles northwest of Orlando. And that's where one of the state's recovery headquarters is located.

Pastor Larry Lynn stands next to the wreckage of his church, now a mound of twisted metal and wood, he remains upbeat.

LYNN: 'We've had an enormous outpouring of support and help from the town of Lady Lake, from the governors office, from volunteers, from our own people, and we've cleared up the debris pretty well around the area here.

Gov. Charlie Crist joined Lynn and parishioners at a Sunday service in front of the rubble.

Early estimates have losses at $68 million.
