House Examines Election Glitches

The warning came in a letter from the firm Election Systems & Software. Company officials were concerned not all the votes would be recorded without an upgrade.
Now, a House task force has been formed to look at if the machines in Florida registered the votes.
Sarasota Republican Vern Buchanan says the glitch didn't factor into a recent state audit.
BUCHANAN: And they confirmed all the votes were counted. It might have been a little slower, but I think they've looked at it clearly and cleared it.
Buchanan narrowly won the race by fewer than four hundred votes. But at issue are the more than 18,000 votes that were not recorded.
A House subcommittee is also looking at two other contested races in Florida, as well as one in Louisiana.
