Bureaucrat By Day, Singer By Night

TAMPA -
It's the Saturday dinner hour at a rocking hot spot in Tampa, when the sounds of classic crooning slices right through the night.
On this night, the ghost of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra is rolled up in the compact body of Ray Chiaramonte. He has to raise his voice over the clanking plates and shouting waitresses for the soft notes of his Italian lyrics to rise above the clamor.
This isn't Ybor City or some tony South Howard Avenue hotspot. It's the Happy Fish Restaurant, tucked into the back corner of a strip mall on Armenia Avenue.
Welcome to the world of Ray Chiaramonte. Bureaucrat by day, torch singer by night.
