TAMPA -
The City of Tampa is at the center of an exciting discovery - a 160-year-old map found in a crate of official city documents. Those official papers were just made public after being found in the attic of a house in northern Pinellas County.
Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio called the find some of the most significant historical papers of our history.
A map collector likened finding a copy of the oldest map of Tampa the equivalent of finding the United States Declaration of Independence.
