The earliest known map of the Village of Tampa wasn't the only find in a recent discovery of official City of Tampa papers at a house in Ozona.

A map of Oaklawn Cemetery was tucked in among the 300 documents that were donated to the Tampa Bay History Center by Sandra Walker, William and Peggy Mullen.

And even Rodney Kite-Powell, the Saunders Foundation Curator of History at the Tampa Bay History Center, found some surprises as he walked among Oaklawn's shaded gravesites.
