An old Ybor City club is turning to a new talent pageant, with hopes of reinvigorating Black Cuban culture. After several decades of hard times, the Marti-Maceo Society is hoping to attract younger members.

They'll hold their first pageant since 1954 this weekend to select a new Miss Marti-Maceo. And now, every Wednesday night, a new generation takes over at the society. They call it Club El Renacimiento - the Renaissance Cafe.
