Hillsborough Services Fall to Budget Axe
Hillsborough County Administrator Pat Bean has submitted her budget to county commissioners. It includes cancelling plans to build 10 fire station and seven library branches. And six expansions to county parks are also being put on hold. Also, grants to non-profit groups are being slashed.
It's all part of a $55 million cut in next year's budget. It's fate lies in the hands of county commissioners, who will look at the cuts Wednesday and Thursday. They are scheduled to vote on the budget next week.
