Absolute Hockey Ices Deal

TAMPA -
The Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup in 2004. That also was the only season the team ever made money. Yet, Tom Wilson, the Lightning's current chairman, says that's not why the current team owner is selling.
He says the team was not for sale until the Absolute Hockey Enterprise ownership group came along led by former Florida Panthers coach Doug MacLean. The purchase price is not being disclosed pending approval by the NHL.
The ownership group also includes Florida developer Jeff Sherrin and Oren Koules, a former hockey player and currently a TV and movie producer.
