Science Is a School Priority

The academic year starts with 95 percent of Hillsborough's schools having earned a passing grade from the state. The district has devised plans and is providing additional resources to the other D and F schools in an effort to improve student test scores.

But, Hillsborough County School Superintendent MaryEllen Elia says that this year all schools need to better their science scores on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test.
