TAMPA -
For years, people have been calling for a regional approach to ease the commuting crunch that afflicts motorists trying to get to and from work every day. But getting all the various government agencies together has proved elusive - up to now.
Friday morning, the first meeting will be held of the Regional Transportation Authority. It's made up of officials from seven counties, from Citrus to Sarasota.
