Sparking A State Energy Commission

ORLANDO -

The nine-member panel is tackling heavy-duty issues ranging from climate change to cleaner ways of generating electricity.

The Florida Energy Commission is focusing on four primary areas - energy supply and delivery, energy efficiency and conservation, renewable energy and climate change.

It's chairman says they are expected to vote on a slew of recommendations Friday, when the meeting continues in Orlando.

The group is expected to vote on creating a 'Florida Climate and Energy Commission.' They are expected to give their recommendations to the state legislature early next year.
