Celebrating Her Father's Songs

Tampa -

This weekend, the Florida Orchestra presents a series of Pop concerts called 'Broadway Hit Parade.' It's an evening dedicated to the music of Pulitizer Prize and Tony award winning composer Frank Loesser. You may not recognize the name, but you've probably heard at least one of his songs. Loesser wrote 'Baby It's Cold Outside,' and many other songs for Hollywood and the stage, including 'Guys and Dolls.' Frank's daughter Emily Loesser followed her father's footsteps to Broadway as a singer and hers is one of several voices you can hear performing Loesser's songs this weekend. WUSF's Susan Giles Wantuck caught up Emily Loesser during rehearsal at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
