Tampa -
Like most kids who grew up during in the time of 'Tang,' Pat Duggins developed a fascination with space travel. In 1985, he became NPR's space correspondent. Duggins has written a book about the missions, gadgetry and danger of the space program. WUSF's Susan Giles Wantuck spoke to him about 'Final Countdown: NASA and the end of the space shuttle program.'
Duggins is speaking at the Times Festival of Reading this Saturday at ten.
