Large Crowds, Few Delays at TIA
There have been few delays reported in Tampa because of airports being snarled by bad weather in the Northeast. And there have been few long lines, in spite of there being more departures at Tampa International today than any other day of the year.
Airport spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan says that's because many passengers are checking in hours before their flight.
Thursday morning should be extremely busy before the crowds level out in the afternoon. The crowds are expected to peak again when all those people return Sunday and Monday.
