Walkable Author: Rail Needed

The man who wrote the survey came back for a visit today. His pavement-pounding conclusion this time hasn't changed. But Christopher Leinberger of the Brookings Institution says there's one sure way to bind Tampa's large downtown together: rail. He says the trolley line running from Ybor City to the convention center needs to be extended through downtown.

Leinberger says the only way to keep younger people who desire an urban lifestyle is to have rail transit. He says if you don't do it, 'you're obsolete.'
