Pianist, Poet and Theologian
British pianist,composer and arranger Stephen Hough won Northwestern University's prestigious Jean Gimbel Lane Prize in Piano Performance last year. But he's also a writer, poet and a theologian. Hough has published a book on prayer. He also received a prestigious MacArthur Fellowship in 2001, joining prominent scientists, writers and others recognized for making unique contributions to contemporary life. WUSF's Coleen Cook spoke with Hough recently about his career, his pursuits and his weekend performances with the Florida Orchestra.
