Allstate Suspension Lifted
![]() |
After only a two day suspension, Allstate again may sell insurance in Florida.
State regulators lifted a court approved ban on Allstate policy sales only after the insurance company turned over requested documents about rate pricing.
Those documents are at the core of a state investigation into how Allstate sets homeowners insurance premiums.
Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty now says Allstate has sent regulators an affidavit swearing its companies have given the state all the documents.
The state had suspended Allstate's ability to sell car insurance and other policies because it said the company hadn't complied with a subpoena for documents. A court upheld that suspension this week.
