American author E.L. Doctorow has won critical acclaim for his novels that have delved into 'hot spots' in history, such as 'Ragtime' and 'The March,' set near the end of the U.S. Civil War. WUSF's Susan Giles Wantuck spoke to Doctorow, who is appearing at USF tomorrow night (11g13) at 7 p.m. in the Marshall Center.
