Crist Talks Up Economy

Charlie Crist
SARASOTA (2009-06-10) -

A dozen Sarasota corporate representatives crammed into a conference room with Gov. Crist. They had one message - Florida needs to promote more than pretty beaches and theme parks. They urged the governor to tout Florida's friendly economic climate. Crist brought that very message across town to gathering of out-of-state business leaders.

But Sarasota CEOs say Florida is still challenged by high insurance costs and a brain drain which sees university graduates heading out-of state to start viable careers.
