It's Brogan, Unanimously
There was a notable lack of suspense as the board of governors met at the Tampa Airport Marriott Hotel to name their new chancellor. Two of the finalists had withdrawn in the past several days; leaving only Frank Brogan and the former head of Ohio's university system. It was no contest - the board to a person selected Brogan.
Negotiations will now start with Brogan on his compensation package. And the board of governors will likely decide at their August meeting on a transition period with Florida Atlantic University, where he currently serves as president.
