TAMPA (2009-11-18) -

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai will be sworn in this week for another five year term. Meanwhile, Senior Master Sergeant Rex Temple came across one of Karzsai's predecessors. The Tampa airman was out on a routine mission with his Afghan army counterpart when they came across the gravesite of a former president of Afghanistan.

WUSF is following Temple on his final tour overseas in our series - My Last Tour. Reporter Bobbie O'Brien talks with him about every week.

Sgt. Temple is also behind the effort to collect school supplies for Afghan students. The project will have collection points set up at the USF Bulls homecoming game this Saturday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

To learn more you can go to Temple’s blog “Afghanistan My Last Tour”.
