Cold Weather Shelters Open Across Tampa Bay

Cold weather shelters are scheduled to remain open much of this week.

Several shelters are open in the Tampa Bay region to help families cope with the cold weather.

Those in Hillsborough County include:

Bethune Park Rural Shelter (South County) 5809 Edina St. in Wimauma
This shelter opens at 6 p.m. and is for adults and families.

Brandon Community Center, 510 E. Sadie Street in Brandon, FL
This shelter opens at 5:30 p.m. and is for homeless individuals and families with children in the Brandon Area.

Metropolitan Ministries, 2010 N. Florida Ave. in Tampa
This shelter opens at 4 p.m. and is for families.

Salvation Army, 1514 N. Florida Ave. in Tampa
This shelter opens at 4 p.m. and is only for adults.
