USF Writing professor Ira Sukrungruang grew up in two worlds: a Thai household with his immigrant parents and the American culture outside his home.

It proved to be an interesting experience. And it served as material for his memoir, “Talk Thai: The Adventures of Buddhist Boy.”

He recently sat down with his wife Katie to talk about what inspired him to write his latest book.
