WSMR On-Air Launch Delayed: WUSF Still to Switch Format

There will be a delay in the on-air broadcast of our new classical station, WSMR, but WUSF 89.7 still plans to switch to its news and jazz format Wednesday as scheduled.

We have been informed that due to technical adjustments being made on the broadcast tower, 89.1 FM will go on the air a few days later than expected.

Wednesday, WUSF 89.7 will switch to its all-news and Jazz format.

We do plan to continue programming classical music as scheduled on WUSF 89.7 HD-2, and you can hear the music on our web stream at wsmr.org.

We certainly appreciate your patience and we will keep you informed – and we will be broadcasting the brand new, all classical WSMR at 89.1 very soon.
