Politifact: False Claims on Early Voting and Mickey Mouse

Today's Politifact discussion takes us to some politician's stands on early voting - and if Florida's favorite mouse was registered to vote.

The Truth-o-Meter quoted Central Florida Representative Eric Eisnaugle on Thursday, April 21st, 2011 in comments made on the House floor: "Mickey Mouse was registered to vote (in Florida)." Aaron Sharockman of the St. Petersburg Times rates this claim as false.

Also, in early voting in Miami-Dade County, Miami-Dade Rep. Miguel Diaz de la Portilla was quoted as saying: "there is a trickle of two or three people a day at a very high cost to keep those public libraries and polls open." Sharockman also rates this claim as false.
